STEP does more than job placement.

STEP works with people in the Skilled Trades and people wanting to start careers in the Skilled Trades. In British Columbia there are over 90 Industry Training Authority recognized trades; STEP works with all of them.

STEP can help skilled workers:

  • have their skills recognized and help them attain the certification they need to further their career
  • connect with training programs and employers
  • if no training program exists where there is demand, STEP can create a training program

If you are currently unemployed or underemployed, you may qualify for one of the STEP programs.  For more information, contact the STEP office in your area.
