STEP does more than job placement.

STEP works with people in the Skilled Trades and people wanting to start a career in the Skilled Trades. In British Columbia there are 140 Industry Training Authority recognized trades; STEP works with all of them.

STEP can help skilled workers:

  • have their skills recognized and help them attain the certification they need to further their career
  • connect with training programs and employers
  • if no training program exists where there is demand, STEP can create a training program

If you are currently unemployed or underemployed, you may qualify for one of the STEP programs.  For more information, contact the STEP office in your area.
