Workforce Inclusion Initiative
This program is now complete.
The Workforce Inclusion Initiative is a no-fee service that effectively links Tourism & Hospitality employers to a skilled, job-ready workforce of people with disabilities in the Lower Mainland. Made possible by funding from 2010 Legacies Now, this employer driven initiative is a lasting legacy of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games, with a goal to accelerate workforce inclusion of people with disabilities in BC’s Tourism and Hospitality industry.
Collaboratively engaging two major sectors of BC’s economy (Construction and Tourism), the Workforce Inclusion Initiative was developed in partnership between the British Columbia Construction Association’s Skilled Trades Employment Program (STEP), go2 (the resource for people in Tourism), 2010 Legacies Now, and the Government of British Columbia.
If you are an employer in the Tourism Industry and are looking to hire, you may qualify for this initiative. Please note that this initiative is a pilot program and is currently offered in the Lower Mainland.
