Immigrant Trades Training Initiative

Immigrant Trades Training Initiative (ITTI) is geared towards helping employers in BC get the skilled workers they need by matching them up with immigrants who have some experience or who want to start a career in the trades. The ITTI initiative connects workers with the training they may need to start out in the industry.

ITTI is currently funded through the Industry Training Authority of BC’s Immigrants in Trades Training initiative. This is a Canada – BC Labour Market Agreement  funded pilot program targeted towards immigrants who are non EI clients or employed in a low skilled position and lack certification, a high school diploma or essential skills.

ITTI works with indivduals who have an interest in entering the Skilled Trades as well as those working in a skilled trade who may need support or guidance in furthering their careers.

If you are currently unemployed or underemployed, you may qualify for this initiative.  Find out more about this program by contacting a Trades Employment Specialist in your area.

Initiative funding provided by the Industry Training Authority (ITA), through the Canada – BC Labour Market Agreement between the Governments of Canada and British Columbia.
