Immigrants in Trades Training

Immigrants in Trades Training (IITT) is geared towards helping employers in BC get the skilled workers they need by matching them up with immigrants who have some experience, or who want to start a career, in the trades. The IITT initiative connects workers with the training they may need to start out in the industry.

IITT is currently funded through the Industry Training Authority of BC’s Immigrants in Trades Training initiative. This is a Canada – BC Labour Market Agreement funded program targeted towards immigrants who are non EI clients or employed in low skilled positions and lack certification, high school diplomas, or essential skills.

IITT works with indivduals who have an interest in entering the Skilled Trades as well as those working in the Skilled Trades who may need support or guidance in furthering their careers.
