Over 225,500 British Columbians are employed in construction, receiving some of the highest compensation of any industry in BC’s goods sector. Even so, construction continues to face a projected skilled worker shortage of 14,200 by 2026. We’re working hard to assist employers in attracting, developing, and retaining the skilled workers they need while also providing training and wellbeing resources to build skilled tradespeople.
